Tom served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and received his Bachelors Degree from American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA. Tom was employed with the Hampden County Court House as a Superintendent, retiring in 1997 after many years of service. He loved to play poker, golf, travel, go to the beach, listen to Irish music and was a great cook. He was also known to tell a good joke with his wonderful sense of humor.

Tom was the son of the late James and Johanna (Griffin) Begley, and the husband of the late Barbara (Scibelli) Begley. He was also predeceased by his sister, Joan Clark; his son-in-law, Rob Dufresne in February of 2014 and by his brother-in-law, Michael Scibelli in 1995.

Survived by his two daughters, Michele Begley Cassesse and her husband Rick of West Springfield and Jennifer Dufresne of Enfield.

Also survived by his brother, James Begley and his wife Rita of Southwick, his sister, Margaret Anderson of Springfield; three grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Andrew Scibelli and his wife, Katherine, of Brewster, MA and by his nieces and nephews.
