Jean Elizabeth Tibbits was the first born daughter of Truman J. (b.@1900) and Frances (Harmon) (b.@1905) Tibbits, who owned a farm at Williams Divide, Crook County, Wyoming. Jean, who was born on March 4th, 1926, had a younger brother named Truman, after his father, b.@1932, and a sister, Shirley A., b.@1937, both also born in Wyoming. Jean went on to marry Warren K. Wilson, also a native of Wyoming, when they went over to Baker, Montana on Apr 24th, 1943. The couple's union produced two children, but ended in divorce. Jean went on to move to Oregon where she met Clair Howard Alderson, a native Oregonian and general building contractor who had applied at the Oregon State Police Dept. He was born in 1916 in Albany, Linn Co., Oregon but had relocated to Salem, Marion Co., in the 1930's. He and Jean married on Nov 27th, 1964 in Marion County, Oregon. By 1968, Clair was a Sergeant at the Oregon State Police, then, tragically, he suffered a massive heart attack on Mar 28th, 1968 and died at the age of 52 yrs. {Coincidentally, his father had also died from heart failure at the age of 55 yrs., and his grandfather had passed at the age of 58 yrs.} Clair had bequeathed his body to science, specifically to the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. There would be no burial for her beloved husband, but he would be remembered in her heart forever. She chose never to remarry, but to remain a widow, living in the Salem area. Jean Alderson passed from this life on July 24, 1998, at the age of 72 yrs. Her remains were sent to Mount Moriah Cemetery, Sundance, Crook County, Wyoming, where she is buried in an unmarked grave. Her spirit, however, is with her loved ones in Paradise, for eternity. May she Rest in Peace.
