Catherine Telia Bailey was the daughter of George C. & Frances Thompson Bailey.
She was widowed and 82 y, 9 m, and 22 days.

Sister of Jonathan S. Bailey, Council Walker Bailey, Nancy D. Bailey Walker, Burrell B. Bailey, Charlotte Temple Bailey, and Thompson P. Bailey.

Wife of Irvin Hall Bailey, they were married on July 28,
1859 by Joseph Wright.

The granddaughter of Catherine wrote that while Irvan was incarcerated in a northern prison, she (Catherine) worked the fields at home and claimed she could "tie more oats than any man."
The couple moved to Princeton in 1913, and later to Rich Creek. Her mother, Frances, was part of the household for the 1870 census. Irvan and Tealie may have also cared for the Shrewsbury children whose parents died (children of Irvan's sister Maryeline).
She was the mother of Josephine Elizabeth Bailey Mullens, Rebecca Jane Bailey Godfrey, Mary Ellen Bailey Godfrey, Rosa Belle Frances Bailey Walker, Carolyn Bailey Toy, and Johanna Bell Bailey.
