Molly Hardesty, 32, of Peoria passed away at 7:42 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at her home.

Molly was born on October 19, 1982, to Larry and Jane (Driscoll) Hardesty.

She is survived by her one true love and partner, Amanda Chalus, who spent every moment through her sickness by her side and will forever be cherished by her family. She is also survived by her parents, Larry (Stacey) Hardesty and Jane (Korter) Moran; her brother, Nathan (Rosa) Hardesty and their children, Gianluca and Michelangelo, who was her godson; her step-sisters, Chloe and Gabrielle; and a niece, Lilliahna.

Molly lived with respect and grace and touched many people’s lives along the way. She coached, taught, and mentored her students, as well as all of us around her, for many years. She continuously bettered herself and set examples for everyone by getting two Masters degrees, while still teaching and coaching.

Her life will be remembered to all for her gentle touch, huge heart, and by what she gave to all. Molly represented the good things in people and in life and that’s how she will be remembered. We will cherish the time until we see you again Molly. We love you.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Northwoods Community Church. Pastor David Bucknam will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2015, also at the church. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
