John O. Ankerholz, 90, 100 West 17th, died Wednesday at Hutchinson Hospital. Born Sept. 27, 1887, at Sylvia, he married Flossie M. Baker Dec. 31, 1916, in Plevna.
He was superintendent of Broadacres from 1953 to 1963 and a lifetime resident of Reno County. He was a member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church.
Survivors: widow, of the home; son: John Jay, 13 Truman Drive; daughters: Mrs. Donna Ellis, Stafford; Mrs. Gail Cusick, Chillicothe, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel; the Rev. Charles Benton. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
