Died between 1855 and 1860.
Married (1st) 1827, Priscilla Williams (d. before 1830) and (2nd) about 1830, Catherine Williams, Priscilla's sister.

Excerpt from 7 Dec 2012 email from Edna Park Waller:
"The general consensus in our branch is that he died and is buried in one of the unmarked graves in the Hunter plot at Bowlesburg Cemetery in Silvis, Illinois. He certainly was still alive in August of 1855 when he and Catherine signed the deed selling their land back in Mercer County. Strange thing about that. Elliott and Catherine's daughter Priscilla was married to George Griffin on 26 August 1855 in Rock Island County, Illinois. The deed back in Mercer County is dated the 30th of August! I think it likely that Elliott and Catherine signed the deed prior to departing from Mercer County and left it with their attorney until the closing. (I worked in law offices for several years and know that such things are done.) In any case, I believe we can assume that Elliott was still living in August of 1855 which more than likely places him in Illinois with his family. We know for sure that Catherine appears as a widow in the 1860 Census. As I said, there are several unmarked graves in Horace Hunter's plot at Bowlesburg, so it is no stretch to believe that Elliott rests in one of them."

"I had the opportunity to talk on the phone around 1992 with a Mr. DeDecker who was in possession of the Bowlesburg Cemetery record book. He spent some time with me reading various entries. Unfortunately the book was in such poor condition that he would not risk copying any of the pages. In fact, I offered to have the entire record microfilmed but he would not permit it. In addition, the records were not complete and he did not find an entry for Elliott. Mr. DeDecker has since died and no one seems to know what became of the record book. That's an all-too-familiar story, is it not?"
