Andrew was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and WWII. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Illinois Country Music Hall of Fame, a member of Eagles Aerie #437 and a former member of American Affiliation of Musicians.
He was a resident of Springfield since 1957, previously of Virginia, Illinois. He was owner of Acree Auto Sales and Acree Sign Company and was the leader of the band Country Squires since 1957.
Visitation: 12-1 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Kathy Swaar, CLP officiating.
Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
