[Mrs. Mary Nichols Brown, 83, of Elkmont, Ala., died May 15, 1996, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. #Mrs. Brown was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. #Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ardmore Funeral Home with Jerry Smith, Sammy Bristor and Dr. Ron Wales officiating. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery in Elkmont. #Survivors include husband, James Elmo Brown; daughters, Helen Nichols Stanfill of Clarksville; brothers, Raymond Scoggins of Elkmont, Johnson Scoggins of Louisville KY; sisters, Nettie Biggs and Ethel Wales, both of Athens, Ala.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.]
