Marion Cora Carruth Aanerud passed away March 9. She was born Oct. 16, 1928 in Coalville, Utah to Ray Thomas and Cora Paskett Carruth.

She attended Evanston schools and graduated from Evanston High School in 1946, and from Central Business College in Denver, Colo.

She married Walter Sterling "Sterk" Aanerud on May 20, 1950 in Payson, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She worked for Mountain Bell and US West Telephone Company, retiring in 1990 with 35 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Daughter of the Utah Pioneers.

She is survived by son Alan Sterling (Lynn) Aanerud, Mesquite, Texas; daughter Becky Lynn (Douglas) Roper, Sandy, Utah; grandsons: Bradford Roper, Eric (Sarah) Aanerud, Curtis Aanerud; granddaughters: Amber (Christiaan) Scoggin, Danielle Aanerud, Amy (David) Rathbun, Heidi (Bobby) Macey; great-grandchilderen: Jackson Aanerud, Adeline Aanerud, Jacob Rathbun, and Sara Rathbun; and nieces, Bonnie Heugly and Jacque Burton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marguerite "Peg" Butler; and brothers, James, Roger, and John.
