DAUGHTER of William Coday & Virginia "Ginnie" (Young) Coday.

WIFE of William "Wesley" Butcher. Married July 5, 1856 in Wright County, Missouri.  David Butcher, minister of the gospel performed the ceremony.  They were married 13 years until his death. Lucinda & Wesley had 5 children together.  
Wm Wesley Butcher died Aug. 19, 1869 leaving Lucinda a widow at age 33.

1930 census: James & Cora lived in Pawhuska, OK with son, Mayse or Mazie Williams.
1940 census: James & Cora lived in Strike Axe, OK with son Mays.
                 
3rd Marr: Lucinda at age 53, married her third husband, William Benton, on August 29, 1889. No children were born.

1910 Census: Lucinda lived with her Daughter, Cora (Koontz) Williams and son-in-law, James L Williams.

NEWSPAPER OBITUARY: According to unknown newspaper article dated May 22, 1913, the following article appears:
Aunt Lucy Benton died at the home of her son-in-law J L Williams near Rembert, Missouri last Sunday morning. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery near Bethel Chapel Monday. Mrs. Benton leaves numerous relations and a host of friends to mourn her loss.

Grave marker reads: "Tis hard to speak the word must we forever part".

Widow's Declaration for Pension, application dated October 10, 1891 when William Kitchin Benton died.

Name on stone is spelled incorrect as Luecnday Benton instead of Lucinda.
