THANK YOU, MATTHEW JENKINS FOR SPONSORING MY UNCLE'S MEMORIAL. I'M SURE HE'S SMILING DOWN FROM HEAVEN, FOR THINKING OF HIM. THANK YOU, MY FRIEND!

Walt was one of six children born to Thomas and Jane Duckworth. There were three sons (of which he was the third) and three daughters. Walt served in the Navy during world War II. He met andmarried a sweet and lovely young woman (who his parents absolutely adored)on September 21, 1940 named Marguerite Lorraine Vincent. She was an artist who worked for the Walt Disney studios. Their union produced seven wonderful sons. The death of his mother Jane hit Walt particularly hard. Years later when he joined his parents in Paradise, he left all of his siblings (but one) behind, along with their families, and of course his sweetheart, their sons and their families.

Remember Me This Way

(Mrs. Lyman Hancock)

When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile.

Forget unkind words I have spoken;
Remember some good I have done.
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember I've had loads of fun.

Forget that I've stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day.

Then forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay,

And come in the shade of evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best.
