About 9 o'clock a.m, Friday morning July 17, the body of JOHN AUNGST was found in the woods on the farm on which he resided about two miles west of Bellville. He left home Thursday evening to hunt for missing hogs, but his family was not alarmed until next morning until his failure to return, as he would often go away from home in the evening and not return until late at night.

Coroner Baughman was called and the body was not removed until his arrival. Aungst had fallen forward on his face and as he had been subject to attacks of heart disease, the coroner found that he came to a natural death from that cause.

The deceased was 55 years old and leaves a wife and nine children.

The funeral took place Saturday at 2 p.m. from his late residence, two miles west of this place, the Rev. Rice officiating. Remains were laid to rest in the Independence (Butler) Cemetery.
