Irwin Aalberts, age 35, of Sioux City, passed away Friday noon in the Veteran's Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, after a lingering illness.

Irwin Richard Aalberts was born February 24, 1930 at Orange City. He was a graduate of the Orange City High School and soon after joined the Navy serving for four years. He married Willey Godfrey of Carolina, on March 25, 1954.

Survivors besides his wife include three children, Michael, Bonita, and Barbara, his father, Gerrit Aalberts of Orange City, four sisters, Jeanne (Mrs. Wm. Vande Brake) of Orange City, Betty (Mrs. Claude Vander Zwaag) of Hull, Beverly (Mrs. Rudy Grienke) of Vermillion South Dakota, and Arlene (Mrs. Alvin Bomgaars) of Orange City, and two brothers, John Dale of West Covina, California and Kenneth of Orange City.
