Age 69, of Canton, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was a veteran of twenty-one years in the US Army, during which time he served in both Vietnam and Panama. Edward was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Nancy S. Bachtel; sons, Edward, II (Anna) and Scott (Laura) Bachtel; grandchildren, Eddie, Daniel, Mia, and Jack; two sisters, and two brothers.
A private family service and entombment will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
