REMSTER

Lester E. Remster, 69, of Chariton died Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was a long time Lucas County resident.

He had worked at Ashton Wholesale Building Materials and Windsor Woodworking in Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris, of Chariton; two sons, Gerald of Des Moines, and Larry of Melcher-Dallas; one daughter, Sharon Kay Hixson of Chariton; one brother, Ray of Marshalltown; one sister, Beulah Pardoe of Ankeny; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Fielding Funeral Home. Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Fund.
