Bill Bullard Was Retired Salesman
Frank W. "Bill" Bullard, 71, RR 3, a retired automobile salesman, died Thursday evening at his home following a heart attack. Mr. Bullard had been in failing health for the past 15 years due to a heart condition, but his death was unexpected.
Mr. Bullard was born Oct. 28, 1893 at Stilling, Mo., the son of Robert and Sara Leppert Bullard, early day residents of Platte County. As a young man he farmed in Platte County, and served in World War I.
Mr. Bullard came to Leavenworth 40 years ago, and married Martha Perry on May 11, 1926. He was employed at the former Lysle Milling Co., here for several years was at the VA Center for 17 years, and then entered the automobile business from which he retired six years ago.
Mr. Bullard was a member of the Christian Church of Weston.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Martha Bollard of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Vinita Zimmerman, Sagus, Calif., Mrs. Billie Marie Chesney, Kingsport, Tenn., and Mrs. Sherley Jean Collie, Coffeyville; one brother, Oscar Bullbard, Afton, Okla.; a half-brother, Henry Winright, East Leavenworth, Mo.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Sexton Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. P. S. Barrow, pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church, Lansing, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Muncie Cemetery.
