Leo Francis Baragary, 87, of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away March 2, 2015.

Leo Francis Baragary, 87, of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away March 2, 2015.
Leo was born in Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas December 20, 1927 to the parents of Leo Dennis and Frances Mae Morrison Baragary. He was the oldest of a family of six brothers and sisters.
Leo was in the graduating class of 1946 at Immaculata High school in Leavenworth, Kansas.
In November the 19, 1951 he joined the United States Marine Corps with the 1st Marine Division, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Corps Reserve and served in Korea earning the Korean Service Medal with two stars (two tours in Korea), the National Defense Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal with an Honorable Discharge as a Sergeant on November 6, 1953.
Leo was a lifelong farmer and retired from the Kansas Department of Corrections at Lansing, Kansas as a First Sergeant.
He married Sherley Ann Rush on June 11, 1955. She survives at home. He is also survived by 11 children; Dennis Baragary Sr. (Mona), Dale Baragary, Jean Baragary (Greg Wilson), Mike Baragary (Cathy), JoAnn Barnwell (Keith), Phyllis Baragary, John Baragary (Cheryl), Ronnie Baragary (Tracy), Mark Baragary, Mary Baragary and Brenda Siebenmorgen (Ryan); 17 grandchildren, ten great-children; brothers Joseph Baragary and Bernard Baragary; sisters Mary Ann Frederick and Geraldine Howell.
He was preceded in death by his infant children; James and Nancy; and his parents and infant brother Jerome.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Davis Funeral Chapel with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. Joseph of the Valley Church in Easton, Kansas. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph of the Valley Cemetery, Easton, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph of the Valley Church. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
