After a two-year battle with breast cancer, Amber Cardenas joined our heavenly father on March 3, 2011 at the young age of 30. She was in her Wilmington home surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Harbor City on February 13, 1981, to Robert and Connie Cardenas; an alumna of Banning High School. Amber followed the footsteps of her father, becoming a proud member of Local 13 of ILWU for 12 years. She was loving, loyal, generous, dynamic and strong willed. Her charismatic personality united people together and inspired a zest for life; encouraging them to live each day to its fullest. She enjoyed shopping, fashion, traveling, dancing, music, playing ball, water sports, fun in the sun, white zinfandel and was an avid Raiders fan. But what fueled her spirit most was spending "good times" with family and friends. Amber enriched the lives she touched and has left a mountain of memories for all to treasure.

Predeceased by her father, Amber is survived by her mother, Connie, brother, Bobby, sister, Rochelle, along with 2 nieces, 4 nephews, 5 godchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
