This memorial is dedicated to my third great uncle Erasmus Crane. He was the son of Martin Crane and Jerusha Ruthie Jemcia Moseley. He married Anita Ann Hill.
He enlisted into the Union Army as a private in Company H, 3rd Cavalry Regiment Arkansas on February 1, 1864 and he mustered out June 30, 1865.
Erasmus was to young when his father Martin and brother Lewis enlisted in the 1 Batt'n. Arkansas Infantry on July 20, 1862. His father Martin survived the war, Lewis died on on October 13, 1862, from illness at Benton barracks in St. Louis
