She was born January 9, 1927 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Arthur and Isabel nee Chidlow LeClaire. She was employed as an executive secretary at AT&T, formerly Western-Electric in Montgomery, IL, for 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristine (Richard) Gipson; a son, Daniel Hellberg; a granddaughter, Amie Langus, all of Oswego, IL; a sister, Jean Hohmeier; a niece, Marla Hohmeier; and a grand niece, Akeila LeClaire, all of Downers Grove, IL.
Her parents, a son Timothy W Hellberg, a sister Dorothy "Mickey" Hussman, a brother Arthur "Artie" LeClaire and former husband Harry William Hellberg preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the McKEOWN-DUNN FUNERAL HOME, LTD. at 210 Madison St. in Oswego, IL. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the donor's local animal shelter. For additional information (630) 554-3888.
