This was the infant of John T and Jennie McCoy.

The entry is in the McCoy Family Bible as Little Baby McCoy with the date 23 JULY 1897.

The 1900 US Census, Pontotoc Co., MS, reports the baby's name as Mary C. lived one day, July 1898.

There is a second memorial 121151846 for Infant Daughter McCoy which is actually this child, with the date interpreted as 1892. There is no baby recorded in the McCoy Family Bible with the date 1892. The "2" was interpreted incorrectly and should have be interpreted as a "7" on the headstone. The headstone also has the incorrect birth date as 22 JULY. This may have been an error by the person who carved the headstone.

I will report as a duplicate and request merge to the memorial with the correct information.
