Per 1900 Census, Roll 826, Page 188, Beckham Precinct, taken June 27, 1900, Enumeration District 0090.

Joe was married to Malvina "Mallie" Hubbard and had several children:

Andrew Thomas (Tom) born Dec 1879, MS
Malvina Pearl born Nov 1882, MS
Sarah Elizabeth (Sallie) born Sep 1885, MS (wife of John Teague McCoy Sr.) (mother of Sarah Ethel McCoy Presley) See their memorials also.
Margerett (Maggie) born Sep 1888, MS
John (Johnnie) born June 1891, MS

A sad year for Sallie as both her husband and father died in 1921.

Per my cousin, Margaret Jones, Pearl married John Henry Rush and Maggie married Luther Rush, brothers. Per my grandmother Ethel Presley, she remained friends with her cousins even after they left Mississippi. I heard her speak of the Rush family often.

Spelling of Malvina variations:
Melvinia
Malvina

There appears to be two Joseph A. McCord's, as follows:
Joseph A. McCord, Jr. born 1852
Joseph A. McCord, Sr. born 1827, parents William Presley born 1801 and Lucinda (nee Miller) McCord born 1801.

Is the "A" for Alexander or Andrew? to be determined.

Possible sibling to Joseph A. McCord, Jr. is Dr. Thomas B. McCord (1852-1883) Memorial #64490355.

From the Early Deeds, Itawamba County Historical Society, there is an entry on one of the early resident McCord's as follows:
John Rodgers of Itawamba County sold to Samuel McCord Section 20 of Township 10, Range 9 on 22 September 1837 for $1,010: Trustees were Benjamin Jones, Phillip Long, Wiley Falloway and Hugh M. Rogers: Book 1, Page 133.
More research necessary to determine connection to my lineage.
