John Bowes, 47, left us to be with our Lord, June 20, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. John was born to Irma Shear Bowes and Robert Bowes, June 15, 1964 in Ellenville, NY.
John is survived by his mother, Irma of Hayden, ID and father, Robert Bowes of Oxford, NJ; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Diane Bowes of Manville, NJ; Michael and Jenni Bowes of Midvale, UT; Peter and Anne Bowes of Post Falls, ID; nieces Chelsey Hoeft and Dana Bowes, nephew Adam Bowes of ID, and Aunt Joan DeFini of FL.
John had a magnetic personality that could not be forgotten. He was compassionate, funny, kind, loving and gave whole heartedly of himself to others. John's family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks for the unbelievable love and support received from his many friends in the last months and weeks of his life. John was a treasure that will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A ceremony will be held Saturday, June, 25, 2011 at 3:00pm at King of Kings Church, 219 Mount Airy Rd., Basking Ridge, NJ. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Center for Hope, Scotch Plains
