Bernice Lehmann Bielss, 83, a lifelong resident of Walburg and Williamson County, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012. Bernice's family will gather for visitation on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, Texas 78628. A service celebrating Bernice's life and her faith will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walburg, TX. Bernice was born in Walburg, TX, on June 11, 1929 to the late Paul and Frieda Vogler Lehmann. Bernice was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Walburg. She was baptized there as an infant, confirming her faith through confirmation and later marrying the love of her life, Albert Christian Bielss on November 14, 1948. Bernice was active both in her church and her community, working many hours with the Ladies Aid at St. Peter and volunteering both at The Caring Place and Hand Crafts Unlimited. She also enjoyed quilting, cooking and canning. Bernice's family and friends will long miss her homemade pickles and have fond memories when they see the quilts she quilted with her loving hands. Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Frieda Vogler Lehmann, her husband of over 63 years, Albert Christian Bielss; sisters, Ellie Nord, Sophie Andres; brothers, Walter "Dick" Lehmann, Wilford Lehman and Rueben Lehman.
