Bernard Corrigan and his brother Thomas created a single citywide streetcar system that really worked, a problem that had plagued Kansas City, Missouri previously. Canadian architect Louis Singleton Curtiss designed a 25 room home for Corrigan at 1200 West 55th Street, in Kansas City, Missouri. The home still stands today. Before the home was completed, Barney Corrigan died, and the family never moved into the new home.
