He grew up in Norfolk County in the community known as West Munden, was educated in Norfolk County Schools in 1952.
He served in the U. S. Army for 2 years then worked for the federal government as Air Traffic Controller for 37 Years.
He is survived by a loving wife; Virginia Bly Anderson to whom he was married to for 48 years. Five sons were born of this union; James E. Anderson III, Mario E. Anderson, Dexter A. Anderson, Derrick A. Anderson, and Kelvin R. Anderson. One sister Dorothy Demby-Paige, two Aunts; Betty J. Hinton and Jessie McCoy, and a host of grand-chilren, nieces, nephews aunts, uncles and friends.
