Tommy was born on Dec. 12, 1939, in Filmore, Calif. He spent 27 years serving the citizens of Kings County in a law enforcement capacity. He was the Kings County Sheriff for 12 years and was best known for bringing a fully equipped SWAT team to the organization. He also brought the DARE program to Kings County students. On retirement, he moved to Texas to begin his life as "gentleman" rancher. A home repair accident in 2006 left him paralyzed from the waist down and complications from that accident ultimately led to renal failure.
Clark is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara; son Steven and his wife Micha, of Groesbeck, Texas; grandchildren Cody of Visalia and Kimber of McGregor, Texas; sisters, Kathy Lowe of Clovis and Dolene Nelson of Kingsburg; and brothers, Don Clark of Kingsburg and Monte Clark of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin.
