Cornelius "Bud" Conde, Jr. was the head school custodian at Lompoc Senior High School during my school days there. Everyone called Mr. Conde "friend." He was a hardworking, dedicated man who told all of us kids to be sure and get a good education.
He was a veteran, serving during World War II in the Phillipines. He was a member of the American Legion. For years, Mr. Conde was the department store Santa for Moore's Department Store in Lompoc.
A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and good friend, he will be sorely missed.
