Matilda was the daughter of Mathew & Charlotte Shefler Warner. Matilda was married to Albert Griffith Field, she designed and made costumes for the members of the "Field's Minstrel Company" and assisted in other ways. For 25-years she traveled the country with her husband. Born in Bobinger, Germany she came to the U.S. when she was 16-years old. At the time of her death she was 72 years of age and suffered from arterio scierosis and complications that included liver ailment. Her daughter Mrs. Edward Conard resided with her at the time of her death. At the tinme of her death a niece Mrs. Fritz Fuerst of Munich Germand and her husband had arrived at the family residence, on a Friday morning prior to her death.
