Aronson was big brother to B.W. for 64 years. The two were paired through Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles in 1946, when B.W. arrived in Los Angeles from Cleveland with his mother soon after his parents divorced. B.W. was 8 and Aronson was 30. Aronson, his wife Rhoda and their two daughters became a second family to B.W.
Aronson took B.W. on water-skiing vacations, helped celebrate his bar mitzvah, attended his graduations and hired him for his first job, at American Music Co., Aronson's downtown Los Angeles firm. B.W. said Aronson also had a hand in introducing him to T., his wife of 44 years, and the couples became friends.
As Aronson aged, roles reversed, and B.W. and his wife regularly called and visited Aronson, who had moved from Westwood to Camarillo.
Aronson is survived by his two daughters.
