Daughter of Frederick Hastings Rindge (owner of the 13,000 acre Malibu Ranch), and wife of Merritt H. Adamson, dairy farmer. The Adamsons established the Adohr ("Rhoda" spelled backward) Stock Farms, which became the world's largest milk producer. She and her husband built the Adamson House in Malibu in 1928, now a Museum owned by the state of california.
