Ilene Tharpe-Wright died of Lung Cancer, a result of thirty-six years of smoking cigarettes. She was diagnosed six months prior to her death. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was survived by her two parents, John and Mildred (Sheffield) Tharpe; her brothers Gerald, Charles, Richard, and John Jr.; her sisters Ann and Cathy; her two sons Gregory W. Christopher and John Wright; and one daughter Ilene Nicole (Christopher) Bellamy. She enjoyed the company of her first granddaughter, Caitlyn Nicole Bellamy, and a special friend Roger Washburn of Carlisle, OH.
