Songwriter. One of the great stylists and songwriters of country music, Floyd Tillman will best be remembered for his compositions "Slipping Around", "It Makes No Difference Now" and "I Love You So Much It Hurts", as well as being one of the major influences on many of country music's greats, especially Willie Nelson. Some of the artists who have recorded Tillmans songs include Red Foley, Margaret Whiting, Vic Damone, Glen Campbell, The Supremes, Ray Price, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby and Ernest Tubb. Tillman was inducted into the Nashville Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 1970 and into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1984.
