Dorothy R. Flynn Henshaw, 84, of Duncan, died Thursday, Sept 15, 2005, at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton.
A memorial celebration will be held from 5 to 6 p. m. Wednesday at the family home. Arrangements are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born on March 11, 1921, to Claud and Fannie (Bullard) Flynn. She married Arno Henshaw on Aug. 6, 1977, at Lake Humphreys.
Dorothy was also the widow of Gus Zewick, who proceeded her in death on Nov. 7, 1943.
Survivors include her husband, Arno fo the home; three daughters: Frances (Zewick) White of Kansas City, KS, Arnetta (Henshaw) Kelly (step-dau) of Duncan, OK, and Arvetta (Henshaw) Dowdy (Step-dau) of Tallahassee, FL; two sons: Walter Zewick of Edom, TX, and Dale Henshaw (step-son)of Cairo, Egypt; a sister, Mary (Flynn) Lorenzen, and a brother, Raymond Flynn, both of Marlow, OK; 11 granchildren: Amanda (White) Luebeck, Jessica (White) Ratslaff, Nichalos White, Ashley Dowdy, Brad Kelly, Timmy Jones, Dineen Kelly, Brett Henshaw, Rod Henshaw, Laura Munos and Terry Shaffer; and 13 great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: James Flynn and Chester Flynn; and a sister: Jayne (Flynn) Sparks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
