Services for Mrs. Betty Bryant, age 72, of Lindale, are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Craig Little and the Rev. Steven Nipp officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery.

Mrs. Bryant died on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, in a Tyler hospital. She was born on July 11, 1938, in Lindale to Hubert Allen and Christine Warren Smith and was a lifelong resident of Lindale and Tyler. Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church, was formerly employed by Broadway Furniture and currently employed by Certified Roses. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Christine Smith; a son, Eddie Wayne Bryant; and a grandson, Justin Wade Turner.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Bryant of Lindale; son, Tony Bryant of Lindale; two daughters, Deborah Brown and Jeannie Turner, both of Lindale; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lajuanda and Ronnie Morrow of Spring, Pat Brown of Austin, and Hulene and Sam Ferguson of Lindale; two grandchildren, Clinton Wayne Bryant and Kimberly Tabb; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Sam Ferguson, Ronnie Morrow, Lonnie Moore, Cosby Bryant, Troy Tabb, Clint Bryant, Connie Hicks and T.J. Carmody.

Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Hicks, Buddy Hicks, Billy Wayne Hicks, Kelly White, Ramey Bryant, Phillip Lee and Charles Wright.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home, Lindale.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund in the Sand Flat Community, Tyler, Texas.
