Long Time Farmer Dies

Andrew E. Myers, 90, of Swartz Creek, a former resident of Gladwin County, died Thursday, December 26, following a 15 month illness.

He had resided on a farm in Butman Township, for 56 years. Born September 6, 1867, in Paulding, Ohio, he married Ella Mae Tucker, August 2, 1902 in Gladwin. She died in 1951.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Wright of Oscoda; four sons, Orville, Alfred, William and Leo, all of Flint; a sister Mrs. Myrtle McFadden, of Flint, 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. G.G. Lyons officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 1-1/1958 Column – 7 Page – 1.
