Maria Martin Lambertson was born in Sonseca (Toledo) Spain, she was one of five sisters raised by their young mother, who was widowed by the Spanish Civil War.

As a young adult, she was a tour guide throughout Europe and was able to speak five languages. She met her husband, Keith, in 1958, while working as a telephone operator at Torrejon Air Base in Madrid. Together, they traveled the world and had four children before settling in Fairfield, California in 1974.

Mary was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting and was a member of the Northwind Quilters' Guild (Solano County, CA) for many years. Many fond memories were made around her kitchen table, where friends and family gathered to enjoy her homemade pies and traditional Spanish cooking.

Mary lived life as it should be led: dancing when there was music, smiling at everyone she met and appreciating the small things. She "lived every day lovely."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Lambertson.
