Shiphod Lyn Brown, of Gettysburg, departed this life tragically August 3, 2012.

She was born April 13, 1993 in York, PA, the daughter of Irving Brown of Westminster, MD., and Brenda Yingling Maust of Gettysburg.

Shiphod attended both Biglerville High School and Gettysburg High School.

For a short period of time she worked at McDonald's and Domino's Pizza in Gettysburg. But for the last year she was employed at the Dollar General Store in Gettysburg.

Shiphod's life revolved around her love of family and friends. She also loved to create jewelry.

In addition to her parents she is survived by, a paternal grandmother, Mildred Brown of Gettysburg; a maternal grandfather, Blaine Yingling of Hanover; brothers and sisters, Ricky Weaver of Dover, PA, Branden Weaver of Hanover, PA, Adora Gall of Maryland, Mykel Mitchell of Gettysburg, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held, August 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. from New Life Outreach Ministries, Gettysburg, with Rev. Raymond McGee officiating. Interment will be in Flohrs Cemetery, Cashtown.
