Jackie came into our lives when he was 6 months, and brought so much Love, Happiness and Laughter with him. A beautiful bouncing baby boy. Everyone that met Jackie fell in love with him. He was even on TV, on the local news for going to "Day Care".
July 15 2007, Jackie was struck with what would be the first of a series of seizures.
The Animal Neurology and Neurosurgery of Texas diagnosed Jackie with a disease called Granulomatous Meningoencephalitis, or GME.
Jackie, one to never let anything get him down, fought a brave hard battle against this, like the "Little Hoss" that he was.
Once a month, Jackie went to the neurologist for Chemotherapy treatments, and it looked like he might be in remission with it, but every time he made a step for the better, he would be hit again.
Always a trooper, Jackie fought back with everything he had, until he just couldn't fight any more.
He was one of those special ones that make us proud to call him "Our Son".
We would like to thank the Animal Neurology and Neurosurgery of Texas , along with our Jackie's friends at Companion Animal Medical Center & Animal Emergency Clinic of Shreveport for all the love and compassion they gave Jackie during the final 10 months of his life.
