U.S. Army Pfc. Damian Bushart was killed when the Humvee he was riding in was struck by a tank while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was in A Troop, 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Division.
Damian was a graduate of Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School, was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, was married and worked as Head of Security at Clutch Cargo's in Pontiac. He was also First Sergeant of Waterford Composite Squadron in the Civil Air Patrol.
He is survived by his wife, Megan E. Levin Bushart, of Orion Township; his son, Joshua Henry Bushart; his parents John "Skip" Bushart and Patricia McLatcher of Waterford; brother Eric Bushart of Waterford; and grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many family members and friends.
