She was the daughter of Young Davis and Annie Susan Smith Davis. On November 30, 1922 she married Delpha Fletcher Wilson in Athens, Clarke County Ga. There was only one child from this union, then two granddaughters, five great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker but also worked for a Hosiery Manufactory Company (Climax Hosiery) in Athens, Ga. until her health became to bad to continue. She, like her sisters, Marie and 'Bill' was loopers (in 1945 her daughter Helen also became a looper). In her spare time she loved to crochet and sew.

Having lived in Athens all her life had earned her a wide circle of friends. She was a kind, generous lady loved and appreciated by all who knew her.

This was my mother and although I only had her in my life for 12 years 3 months, I will carry her in my heart forever.
Every day I thank God for letting her be a part of my life, even for a short time.
