My GrandFather

He was born and raised in Georgia, parents were William Washington Wilson and Mary Jane Hammond Wilson.

1st. Marriage: Ida McCannon, June 6, 1897
(Died Of childbith complications May 18, 1899)

2nd, Marriage: Stella Lee Harris, November 9, 1899 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. He was the father of four children: Herbert, May 3,1899; Delpha, February 4, 1902; Octavia, May 22, 1905; and Lollie , March 15,1908.

He was a carpenter and at one time worked at a foundry, but he always remained true to his love of farming. All of his animals had names and when he talked to them it was like they knew what he was saying.

He was a quiet man and very easy going, however he had his own way of doing a thing and once he made up his mind it was hard to change it. Having a lot of patience with his grand children meant a lot to us. He was a good Grandpa and we all loved him.
