Harry was the son of Young Davis and Annie Susan Smith Davis. On May 12, 1934 he married Mildred Childers in Athens, Clarke County Ga. They had one child, James Young.
Harry graduated from Athens High School in 1932. He was a big sports fan, played some basketball in high school and some baseball for lacal teams where ever he lived. But his love really lay with the University of Georgia football team.
He served in the U.S.M.C. during WWII
He was a kind and gentle man always looking for the best in everyone, as long as I knew him I never heard him say one harms word about anyone. Harry was my uncle and I loved him dearly. He is greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
NOTE: Harry passed away 78 days after the death of his wife Mildred.
