DALE HUGHESTON CAINE

Loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his Granada Hills home surrounded by family on November 6, 2013.

Dale was born the eldest son of 12 children by the late Robert and Abbie Dale Caine of Greensboro, North Carolina on August 14, 1924. After honorably serving in the US Navy during WWII, he started a family and a career as a machinist at Lockheed Martin in Los Angeles. His resourcefulness, dedication, industriousness, and commitment to Christian values were displayed in every aspect of his life, especially when involving himself in Shepherd of the Hills Church and being a loving husband and father. Dale's generosity touched many lives through his Garden Ministry, which has contributed to numerous Christian projects, both domestically and internationally. His warm smile and gracious nature will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Dale is survived by his daughter, Gail Eldridge; son, Richard Caine; three grandsons, Locke, Jerren, and Matthew Eldridge; four great grandchildren; brothers, Bobbie and Donald Caine; and sister, Lois Ivey.

Services will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Church on Monday, November 18, 2013, noon, and will be followed by graveside services at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills (323-254-7251).
