Merlyne Ruth Owens, 79, of Cumming, GA and a long-time resident of Titusville, FL) died on March 30, 2013. Born in Livingston, IL she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Gladys Best.
Merlyne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Owens of Cumming, GA; children, Bobbie Jo (Robert) Moore of Cumming, GA, Gregory A. Owens of Missoula, MT, Kirk R. (Kim) Owens of Woodstock, GA, Tracy (Doug) Moran of Grand Blanc, MI and Shelley (Keith) Smith of Carrollton, GA; sisters, Joyce (Jim) Furtkamp of Lebanon, IL, Lois (Ramsae) Stricker of Highland, IL and Vara Lynn (David) Yoakum of Troy, IL; brother, Harlan (Mary) Best of Staunton, IL; and 8 much-loved grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in the chapel of McDonald and Son. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Wednesday April 3 at the funeral home.
