Dancer, choreographer, administrator and writer. Born in Stafford, but brought up in Worcestershire, her trained from the age of four at the Lehminski School in Birmingham before moving to the Legat School and then on to The Royal Ballet Upper School.
Whilst there he danced in Ashton's Sinfonietta at the school performance in 1979, and appeared in MacMilan's Concerto the following year.
He joined the Royal ballet in 1980 and performed in a wide range of ballets including The Two Pigeons (Gypsy Lover), Cinderella (Ugly Sister), Façade, Scènes de ballet, A Month in the Country (Matvei), The Dream (Lysander), Romeo and Juliet (Paris), Return to the Strange Land; and the Indian Prince in Ninette de Valois' Sleeping Beauty.
He was promoted to the rank of coryphée in 1985 but left in 1987 to join the Scottish Ballet.
Following this he danced as a principal with Lewis London Ballet, where he also choreographed Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
He later went on to study for a BA Hons in Theatre Design at Wimbledon School of Art before retraining as a dance administrator. In this role he worked for The Royal Ballet Benevolent Fund, London Children's Ballet, London Studio Centre, the Royal Academy of Dance and at Elmhurst School of Dance.
He was also assistant to the chief executive of RedR UK, an international humanitarian charity and was a performance diary editor for Dance Europe Magazine.
