Mr Lee was a purebred Shar-Pei, rescued by The Mid-Atlantic Chinese Shar-Pei Rescue Operation, Inc. (MACSPRO). He was adopted by Charlemagne Fezza in July of 2011.

Mr Lee drew smiles from everyone he encountered when he was taken out in public. He was a good boy who looked like a teddy bear, but he could also be a fierce warrior when he felt his household needed protection.

Mr Lee was healthy for most of his life, but he took a turn for the worse on Halloween when he contracted Familial Shar-Pei Fever due to an excess of hyaluronan in his hind legs. Although he received treatment and his temperature went down, he had to be rushed back to the ER. They found he had a blood clot that took his life. We went to say our goodbyes to him and he acknowledged us with a weak bark.

This beloved Shar-Pei will be missed. He was truly special and we grieve his loss.
