She departed this life on February 5, 2001 in Oakland, California. She is preceded in death by her father, James Jones, Sr., two brothers, James Jones, Jr. and Ellis Jones, and her son, James Aubrey, Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish in her memories her beloved mother, Pearl Jones; one sister, Edna Stoglin; two brothers, Eugene Jones and Obbie Jones; her husband, James L. Aubrey, Sr.; five children, LaJuana Lewis, Chris Aubrey, Terry Edwards and Jermaine Edwards, all of Oakland; her ten grandchildren, LaTae, Jazmine, ShaTae, James III, Damoria, Marquanika, Rajiab, Daniel, Saidab and JaVonne; her three nieces, Valaria Downing, Ellissa Jones, and Estelle Jones; and four great nephews, E. Verrick Wise, Apondo White II, T.C. Walker and Cameron Anthony; one brother-in-law, Larry Stoglin; and one son-in-law, Sherman Lewis.
