Born September 7, 1959 in Fresno, California, Terry Dewayne Jones was the beloved son of his parents, Bennie Jones and Donald Jones, Sr.
Wayne's early education started in Stockton, California at Oak Elementary School. The family moved to Fresno where he attended Webster Elementary School, Columbia Elementary School and Irwin Junior High School. He attended and graduated from Hoover High School in 1977.
Wayne at 18 was the manager of Happy Steak Restaurant. His passion was cooking and he especially loved to cook for his family and friends.
He moved to San Diego, California and lived there for 10 years, where he continued honing his culinary skills.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Reuben Cooley, Sr. and Vernon Jones, and his grandmothers, Rosia Lee Cooley and Bessie Ellis.
He departed this life on July 17, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Bennie Jones; his dad Donald Jones, Sr.; his father, M.L. Behn; daughter, Terica Jones Garrett; son-in-law Louie Garrett, Sr.; grandson Louis Garrett, Jr.; daughter, Toshika Jones; three sons, Luis Gonzalez Jones, Michael Jones and Alex Jones; his sister, Karen Jones of San Diego; and two brothers, Donald Jones, Jr. and Levis Kenney of Philadelphia; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all who will sorely miss him.
Pallbearers: Donald Jones, Jr., Rufus Cooley, Carlton Washington, Reuben Cooler, Jr., Luis Gonzalez Jones and Christopher Jones.
