Leah Blair (1905 - 2010), age 104, of Painted Post, passed away on Friday, 22Oct2010 at Absolut Care in Three Rivers. She was born in East Fork, PA on 9Dec1905, the daughter of James and Abigail (Springstein) McGuire. Leah retired from Corning, Inc in 1970 following 19 years of service. She liked to travel, especially to go to Pittsburgh to see her sister. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Burnside of Painted Post, special nephew, Donald (Ida) Burnside of Lawrenceville, special great nephew, Gary (Doreen) Burnside of Tioga, special great niece, Shiela (Thomas) Cuneo of Tioga, and many great nieces and great nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, Monday, 25Oct2010 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Leah's funeral service will follow there at 3:00 pm with the Rev. William Lusk officiating. Burial will take place at Nelson Cemetery.
